What a crazy time this past year has been.
When we look back we think about the people we have lost, the changes that have moved our lives in directions we never thought.
And we think about all the people who were front lines. Especially now, when we go to get our vaccines, we see all the people who had to make that happen. National Guard, health care workers, local Fire and Rescue and it got us really appreciating all the boots on the ground and all the sacrifices made to help us to go this point.

Michiko has been doing a lot of research on local underground railroad sites and paying homage to Freedom Seekers, escaped enslaved people, who having settled in New Jersey, turned around and went back to the South as soldiers in the Civil War. There is the Jordantown Cemetery right near us as well as the Timbuctoo cemetery on the Rancocas.
Here is Veteran Theophilus Pinion. Born Free, he returned to the South to help other Freedom Seekers in Civil war in Company 28, USCT. From Timbuctoo.
It’s made us, again, really appreciate veterans, and people who have fought in wars and continue to give their time and energy to all of us through their service.
This Memorial Day we want to give something back to all the hospital, healthcare, first responders, veterans, law enforcement and active duty personnel. We know that you probably have dogs that helped you get through an incredibly difficult year.
